Developed around the table

Start with the Table, Not a Size List

A tablecloth specification should be developed around the actual furniture and intended presentation rather than selected only from a generic finished-size list.

01

Table Shape

Begin with round, square, rectangular or specialty furniture.

02

Tabletop Dimensions

Record diameter, or the complete tabletop length and width.

03

Table Height & Drop

Define the height and how far the cloth should extend below the edge.

04

Application & Presentation

Align coverage and construction with the restaurant, banquet, meeting or event setup.

Tablecloth types

Core shapes and project-developed constructions.

Round and square or rectangular tablecloths form the core range, supported by banquet, conference, fitted and specialty event directions.

01

Round Tablecloths

Developed around the table diameter, height, intended drop and banquet or dining presentation.

02

Square & Rectangular Tablecloths

Sized from tabletop length and width, with the intended drop considered on every side.

03

Banquet Tablecloths

Project directions for round and rectangular banquet tables and coordinated event settings.

04

Conference Tablecloths

Developed around conference furniture, coverage, presentation and project requirements.

05

Fitted / Stretch Table Covers

Project-developed constructions reviewed against the exact table shape and dimensions.

06

Cocktail & Lazy Susan Covers

Supporting event and banquet directions developed for specialty table formats.

How to size a tablecloth

Define the desired drop.

The drop is the distance the tablecloth extends below the tabletop edge. The required drop depends on table height, dining concept and intended presentation.

These formulas explain geometric sizing only. Construction, fabric, table shape, corner treatment and project requirements must still be reviewed before production.

Round tableCloth diameter

Table diameter + (2 × desired drop)

180 + (2 × 50) = 280 cm

Example: 180 cm table diameter with a 50 cm desired drop.

Square / rectangular tableCloth length

Table length + (2 × desired drop)

Cloth width

Table width + (2 × desired drop)

Rectangular example180 × 90 cm table

With a 30 cm desired drop:

240 × 150 cm cloth

Geometric result for specification review—not an automatic production guarantee.

Material options

Material selected for the table and application.

Material selection can be reviewed according to table style, hospitality application, desired appearance and project specification. Not every material is assumed to suit every tablecloth type.

01

Cotton / Cotton Sateen

A verified material family represented in historical restaurant and project developments.

02

Polyester

A recurring material family across historical banquet and hospitality tablecloth records.

03

Polyester Linen-Look

A textured linen-look direction clearly identified as polyester rather than natural linen.

04

Stretch Polyester / Polyester-Spandex

A verified direction for fitted and stretch constructions where the table specification is suitable.

Drop & construction

Coverage shapes the finished presentation.

Drop length affects both finished dimensions and visual presentation. Fitted and elastic constructions are developed for project furniture rather than treated as generic stock items.

Hotel tablecloth FAQ

Planning the specification?

These answers reflect verified development evidence. Commercial arrangements are confirmed for each inquiry.

Back to Table Linen
How do I calculate the right tablecloth size?+

Begin with the tabletop dimensions and desired drop. For a round table, add twice the desired drop to the table diameter. For a rectangular table, add twice the drop to both length and width. Final production specifications still require review.

What table dimensions should I provide?+

Share the table shape, tabletop diameter or length and width, table height, desired drop and intended presentation.

Can you make custom round and rectangular tablecloths?+

Yes. Historical development records support round, square and rectangular tablecloth directions developed around project dimensions and requirements.

Can you make floor-length tablecloths?+

Floor-length presentation is a verified project direction. The required drop depends on the actual table height and intended setup, so dimensions are reviewed for each project.

Can you develop fitted or stretch table covers?+

Yes. Fitted and elastic constructions appear in verified project records and are developed against the specific table shape, dimensions and construction requirement.

Can tablecloth colors, patterns or logos be customized?+

Project development may include color, texture, jacquard, yarn-dyed, print, embroidery or logo directions. Availability is reviewed against the selected material and construction.

What information should we provide for a quotation?+

Provide table shape and dimensions, height, desired drop, material preference, color or design, branding requirement, quantity and the restaurant, banquet or project application.
